Three adornments for a dalmatic

These three embroidered panels are decorative elements on a dalmatic. 

The largest panel is a facing that was stitched onto the front of the dalmatic, while the other two formed "cuffs" decorating the ends of the sleeves.

The centre of the facing is decorated with a medallion depicting Saint Catherine in bust form. A decor of plant scrollwork unfurls around the central medallion and on the cuffs.

The embroidery is particularly refined: the wide braids have raised patterns of fine gold yarn, and the inside of the panels are fully embroidered using the or nué technique.
