Practical Information

The museum is open daily from 9:30 am to 6:15 pm, except on Mondays. The ticket office closes at 5:30 pm. Galleries will be cleared starting from 5:45 pm.

Late Night Openings : on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month, the museum remains open from 6:15 pm to 9:00 pm (ticket office closes at 8:30 pm). View all upcoming late-night dates in our calendar.

The "frigidarium" will be closed from July 13 to August 3, 2026, for the dismantling of the "Unicorns!" exhibition. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The museum is closed on January 1st, May 1st, and December 25th. 

Early closing at 5:00 pm on December 24th and 31st.

Security Notice: The medieval-inspired garden is currently closed until further notice.

Located at the heart of the museum, the Café des Amis offers a gourmet break in a unique setting blending medieval and contemporary worlds.

The museum’s public garden is open every day.

• Winter hours: 8:00 am – 5:45 pm (Mon-Fri) / 9:00 am – 5:45 pm (Sat) / 9:00 am – 7:00 pm (Sun)
• Summer hours: 8:00 am – 9:30 pm (Mon-Fri) / 9:00 am – 9:30 pm (Sat-Sun).

Under the Vigipirate plan (national security measures), suitcases, travel bags, and hiking backpacks are not allowed in the museum. Large umbrellas must be left at the entrance. During peak hours, strollers may also need to be stored at the entrance.
