"De rien ne se crée rien" ("Nothing comes from nothing")

"De rien ne se crée rien" ("Nothing comes from nothing’") is a series of sculptures created by Olivier Sévère. 

Cobblestones, pebbles, rocks, in blown, moulded or cut crystal… the artist works with stone through the lens of the perpetual cycle of matter.

Through these works, which blend the concepts of the natural and the artificial, he also offers an unusual perspective on the skills of glassmakers and the chemistry of crystal.
