This modern, high-quality embroidery depicts an angel carrying a coat of arms, with a bear and a gryphon either side. It reproduces the image of the arms of the cross of a chasuble preserved at the Victoria and Albert Museum (London), which carrying the weapons of Henry de Beauchamp, Count of Warwick, and his wife Cecily Neville.

In the 19th century, this chasuble belonged to the Reverend Moore, who had a copy of the angels made before selling it, which was probably crafted in an English liturgical embroidery workshop.
