Opening days and times

Every days except tuesdays, from 9.15 am to 5.45 pm. Ticket office closes at 17.15pm 

WARNING : the hotel of Cluny’s abbot is closed for renovation works until spring of 2021.
While entering the new reception area, you can visit : the frigidarium (self-tour), whole gallo-roman baths (guided tour), Lady and the unicorn tapestry, a selection of treasuries (70) from permanent collection, and temporary exhibitions.

Closed on 1st January, 1st May and 25th December.

To help you make your visit more enjoyable, please note that there are a large number of school groups visiting the museum on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. Quieter times to visit are between noon and 02.00pm, or after 03.30pm.

Following the terror attacks in Paris and to ensure the safety of our visitors, the Cluny museum is strictly applying the security measures decided by the french authorities (Vigipirate). Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience and delay which may be caused by the extra security checks at the entrance. Luggages, backpacks and big items are not allowed.

Free: every first Sunday of the month, for under 18’s, 18 to 25 years (if members of the European Community), practicing teachers (Education Pass required), students of the Ecole du Louvre and of art and catering schools, professional artists, job seekers, RSA and ASS beneficiaries (French forms of social welfare), those with a disability card showing a rate equal to or higher than 80%, journalists, members of ICOM (International Community of Museums), ICOMOS (Inernational Council on Munuments and Sites), Amis du Musée de Cluny (Friends of the Musée de Cluny), etc.

Visioguides : €2  (upon presentation of a ID) available in several languages : french, english, italian, german, spanish and japanese.

Groups : Reservations are essential for all groups (with or without tour guides) by phone + 33 (0)1 53 73 78 30 from Monday to Friday from 9.00 am to 04.00 pm. 
Start dates for school visit reservations : 2nd September 2019 for reservations for December 2019 to January 2020.

Large items of luggage (suitcases, large travel bags, etc.) cannot be accepted in the museum.
