Document Services at the National Museum of the Middle Ages


School Scene
The Museum's Document Centre is open to all, on appointment. It contains more than 3000 files concerning the works of art in the Museum. These files hold all the known bibliographic references on the object, restoration history, old and recent photographs, etc.

The photo library now has nearly 9000 shots. It completes the available information on the collections, and is available for consulation on appointment, or by clicking http://www.photo.rmn.fr/.

In addition to files on specific works of art, the Documentation Centre also has a number of files of a more general nature dealing with the main aspects of the medieval period.

All Museum guides and publications, as well as a number of reference materials on history and the history of medieval art, are freely available for consultation in the Documentation Centre.
